Many travel to east and to west

1.
Many travel to east and to west,
Thinking, “There, surely there, it is best.”
/: Yes, you seek and you chase
After just the right place,
But be good, then will all things be good. :/
2.
You can move from the village to town.
You can search till the sun has gone down.
/: You can seek far and wide;
You can laugh, you can cry.
But be good, then will all things be good. :/
3.
Of the times and your lot you complain;
Yet you find things remain just the same.
/: If you’re cross and unkind,
Then no comfort you’ll find;
But be good, then will all things be good. :/
4.
In the place where you are you won’t stay;
Your desire is to move right away.
/: If you moved somewhere new,
All your cares would move too.
But be good, then will all things be good. :/
5.
O how wonderful life is for us;
There’s no reason to grumble or fuss.
/: To each person and beast,
From the greatest to least,
Let’s be good, then will all things be good. :/
