God is doing something new—what joy exceeding!

1.
God is doing something new—what joy exceeding!
You have never seen the likes of this!
Now God’s people, by His Spirit, He is leading
To the barren wilderness.
(Is. 58:11-14)
Chorus:
Flowing out, flowing out—
In the land of wilderness and drought;
Flowing out, flowing out—
Living streams are flowing out!
2.
In the desert, God a mighty work is doing!
There His voice sounds forth with clarity;
There His people He is gath’ring and renewing
With divine authority.
3.
Sons rebuild the site of rubble and destruction—
All the ruins left from former days.
Now the crumbled walls are under reconstruction;
Work is done with zeal and praise.
4.
Land their fathers left them they are now possessing;
“Jacob’s heirs” in rest shall there abide.
God has hid His ways and kept this land of blessing
For the chosen, set aside.
