Thank You, Lord, You help provided

1.
Thank You, Lord, You help provided
When I sought You in distress.
Things were bleak—You fire ignited;
Now I’m filled with thankfulness.
Lord, You met my need so pressing
When with earnestness I prayed.
Now with joy I am progressing
On the way that Jesus made.
2.
Thank You, Lord, that life from heaven
You give those who mourn and weep—
Those with hatred for transgression
And whose love for You is deep.
Praise from deep within is welling.
Christ is all in all for me.
In my heart He now is dwelling.
Light and salt I’m called to be.
3.
Thank You, Lord, for Your compassion,
For the strength and pow’r You give.
We’ll no more be ruled by passion;
Free in Spirit we will live.
Thanks for giving revelation;
Thus Your glory we now see.
We can walk in Your salvation
And obey You perfectly.
4.
Let us fight and pray with yearning.
In us Jesus does abide.
May our hearts for Him be burning.
Trust in God; turn not aside.
Sin that causes separation
Shall be purged away by fire.
In our minds there’s transformation.
Now His will is our desire.
