'Tis a grace too great to comprehend

1.
’Tis a grace too great to comprehend:
Round God’s Word we’re gathered once again!
Young and old are joined in precious union—
In one mind, one purpose, one communion.
Chorus:
Our hearts rejoice with songs of praise;
It’s only right that all our days
We give Him thanks for full salvation
And bow our hearts in adoration.
2.
Jesus’ table’s always richly spread—
Feeds the hungry with His Living Bread.
If by thirst and hunger we are driven,
Then abundant life we shall be given.
3.
Saving grace is always very near,
Teaching us to walk in holy fear.
In the hidden place we gather treasure;
’Twill adorn His Church in fullest measure.
4.
Now God’s Word is doing mighty things—
Sets the heart aflame and comfort brings.
It is cleansing, chast’ning, and dividing,
To each brother, sister help providing.
5.
O the Word of God is like a light,
For it guides our footsteps here aright.
We no longer need to be dejected;
By the Word we’ve pow’r to be perfected.
