He offers His glorious salvation.

Dear soul, by your lusts you are driven;
You’re empty and dead deep within,
But powerful grace Christ has given.
He’ll free you from anguish and sin.

To go your own way you’ve insisted.
You’ve shut Jesus out of your heart.
Repent, ere the One you’ve resisted
Must say, “I don’t know you. Depart!”

’Gainst God and His ways you have striven.
You’ve stifled your heart’s deepest cry.
What grief if your entrance to heaven
One day God to you must deny.

5.

Give up this dark world and its clamour;
To torment it leads in the end.
Do not let sin’s pleasures enamour,
Then blessings untold Christ will send.
