God by His Word unto us imparts
Laws in our minds and hearts.
/: Laws of the Spirit of life within
Free us from ways of sin. :/

Love’s the foundation, the great command
On which the others stand.
/: It from all selfishness sets us free,
Now and eternally. :/

Laws about righteousness clearly show
Us the right way to go.
/: They are God’s seal, and upon this way
We’ll never go astray. :/

Laws about wisdom will free indeed,
So we’re from folly freed.
/: God’s laws of patience from wrath will free;
This is a certainty. :/

Laws about truth will from lies set free;
This, to God’s praise, we’ll see.
/: God’s laws will drive out all flattery,
Guile, and hypocrisy. :/

Laws of humility God imparts
Deep in our minds and hearts.
/: Thereby from pride in our lives we’ll be,
By grace of God, set free. :/

God’s Word is mighty to set us free
From sinful slavery.
/: Each law of life gives us pow’r within
To overcome all sin. :/
