Let no evil thoughts slip in

1.
Let no evil thoughts slip in;
Let them find no place within.
Drive them with the wind away,
Evil thoughts that want to stay,
Knocking at your door.
2.
When the devil starts to knock,
Then be sure your heart to lock.
“Get behind me—speak no more!
I will not distrust the Lord.
Go far from my door!”
3.
Bolt the door into your heart
To the devil’s fiery darts.
Use the Word to keep them out;
Say to every thought of doubt,
“I believe God’s Word!”
4.
I’ll no more suspicious be
Of what others say to me.
Secret things are for the Lord;
They shall plague my life no more!
“Go far from my door!”
