Our God tempteth no one, it says in His Word

1.
Our God tempteth no one, it says in His Word;
’Tis lusts of the flesh that entice us.
In times of temptation we firmly must stand;
God’s pow’r to uphold us suffices.
Chorus:
When you are in need, then to God boldly pray;
Seek help at His throne in temptation.
The Spirit obey; yes, suffer each day.
He’ll crown you with joy and salvation.
2.
So many give in to the lusts of their flesh;
They sin, for they just will not suffer.
No glory they have and no treasure above.
Awake, soul, your time is soon over!
3.
The bride follows on in her dear Master’s steps,
And strength in her love she possesses.
Her mind is set free from all people and things,
And therefore she’s always victorious.
