Precious is my lot on earth how my heart does sing!

1.
Precious is my lot on earth; how my heart does sing!
Great is my inheritance; glory it will bring.
:/: For the mighty Lord of Hosts is my portion blest.
Walking in His presence gives happiness and rest. :/:
2.
In His pleasure to abide is my great delight.
All is dross compared to this treasure, pure and bright.
:/: What I saw as gain before, now as loss I see;
For the knowledge of my Lord is so great to me. :/:
3.
All that flesh can glory in has for me no worth.
God alone shall be extolled, not the dust of earth.
:/: In His strength I, too, am strong, tread down places high
Which within my flesh arise; Satan flees thereby. :/:
4.
Now the veil of flesh is rent; thus my inner sight
Sees God’s blessed holiness; great is God in might!
:/: He who is eternal life, now I learn to know.
Through His word, “Abide in Me,” purity doth grow. :/:
