Now is the appointed time—the hour of confrontation!
Time to go to battle at the Lord’s command.
We will fight; yes, we will be triumphant in temptation!
By God’s side we faithfully will take our stand.
Boldly enter in!
Serve no longer sin!
Jesus Christ has purchased you and me.
High and holy was the price He paid for our salvation.
Debtors to the flesh we therefore will not be.

Oft the prince of darkness like a lion roars and rages,
For he knows he’s given but a little while.
We must watch our hearts, for he a subtle warfare wages
When he tries to draw us from God’s will with guile.
Just rise up, my friend!
Beat him down again!
To his threatenings no heed we’ll take.
We’re just stirred to battle by the onslaught that he stages,
For we know our life in Christ is what’s at stake.

Just forget your self and feelings; that is what’s required.
In God’s hand you’re useful if you’ve paid this price.
There’s a need for those who such a witness have acquired,
Souls who have the spirit of true sacrifice.
Go in faith today;
God’s good Word obey!
You won’t miss what you must leave behind.
Deep within your heart no greater joy can be desired
Than you on the way of Jesus’ cross will find.
