“He Will By No Means Let Your Foot Waver.”

“He Will By No Means Let Your Foot Waver.”

Psalm 121:3

In the Dutch Bible [also in the English NKJV of the Bible] it is written, “He will not allow your foot to be moved.” David had probably read a considerable amount between the lines of the words in the old covenant! What he writes here is in complete agreement with the strong and perfect light with which Jesus came, and which the apostles lived and proclaimed—in stark contrast to the normal religious misunderstanding. David’s words are in harmony with these words of the apostles: “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph . . . .” 2 Cor. 2:14. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.” 1 John 5:4.

“By no means” is a very strong expression, which means the same as: not at all, absolutely not, in no way, far from it! What is it that makes it so final? A living faith in God’s work and workings, a living faith in the scriptures that speak very clearly about it!

It is unbelief that hinders it and excludes it.
