The Gospel Is the Greatest Thing That Can Be Entrusted to Us

2 Corinthians 4

“But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” Vs. 3-4.

“For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” V. 6.

Then he continues to write further about many tribulations. How is the glory of God to shine from us in the tribulations? It shines when the gospel has been revealed to us and it becomes life in us as explained in 1 Peter 4:1-2.

It will be glorious when we follow what Peter writes. Then the light of the gospel will shine from us in all circumstances. When we carry about in the body the dying of Jesus, the life of Jesus will also be revealed in our body. 2 Cor. 4:10-11, ff.

Therefore, those of us who know the gospel are always happy, because we do not look at the things which are visible, but at the things which are invisible, the things which are eternal.
