From Above—From Below

“He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.” John 3:31.

Here we have two flocks that will be eternally separated—those who are from heaven and those who are of the earth. Both of them run their course in this life, and both of them have their own interests. Jesus came with words from heaven—words that were above all other words.

The terrible spirit that now rises up from the pit is so evil and strong that we need a mighty fullness of the Spirit from heaven so we can overcome it and keep it out of our homes and the church.

Saul was of the earth—earthly, and he persecuted those who were from heaven—heavenly. However, when the heavenly light was kindled in his heart he pursued the victory prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:14.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4. We must arm ourselves with this overcoming faith in these days so that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having overcome all things, to stand. We are called to have victory even if all kinds of evil powers rage against us, because the Spirit we have received from above cannot be overcome.

In the Spirit of Christ we can overcome all the passions and desires in the flesh. Gal. 5:16. All these sinful desires are linked to the spirit that is from below. We must not doubt the power of the spirit we possess through the Holy Spirit. It is up to us whether we will be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Eph. 6:10.

There is a swarm of evil spirit powers in these days that belch out poison from the pit. Many of those who work at spreading this poison become instant millionaires and become guilty of mass murder. There will be deep, spiritual darkness when Jesus comes again. We see this in Matthew 25 where we read about the five wise and the five foolish virgins.
