Do Not Fear, Little Flock
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32.
This is a call and a light from heaven to the chosen flock who are being prepared for Jesus’ coming. It is a call into the times when people’s hearts will fail them for fear and terror in expectation of those things which are coming on the earth. Luke 21:26. It is a call from heaven, a guarantee, to the little, faithful flock that they have nothing to fear. All of heaven is on their side in the battle against evil.
It pleased the Father to give His kingdom to this little flock which is invincible. In this kingdom there is a Spirit that cannot be conquered.
“And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!” Luke 12:4-5. This is a glorious flock of friends who do not retreat in the face of the enemy’s attacks. They are united in the same Spirit and in the same mind, in one body, together with Christ on the cross. This expectant flock will meet Christ in the clouds when He comes. They will be raptured into the greatest glory that anyone has ever seen.
We are called “friends.” This is biblical and perfectly suitable when we do what He commands us, and if we have fellowship with Him who is the head of the church.
There are thousands of religious assemblies and associations that are breaking up, but the fellowship of the friends on Mount Zion cannot be broken up. The only thing we have to fear is to go against God. But if we have anointed eyes we will not do anything so foolish as to break fellowship with Christ and the saints. It is good to have fellowship with Him who has the keys of Hades and of Death as well as the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus comforted His disciples to the very end with these words: “And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:20. The little flock has nothing to fear.
