Believe, and You Will See the Glory of God!
“Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?’” John 11:40. If we see by the light of faith, we cannot but see the glory of God. By faith the doors are opened to all spiritual wisdom and glory. Unbelief locks you out and leaves you standing in darkness.
We are held up by faith. By faith we know that we have been raised up together with Christ and are sat in heavenly places. In this Spirit of faith we have power over all evil spirit-powers and we can rejoice in this victory. Faith and joy belong together, and in this Spirit we are united in obedience to the faith. In this Spirit we are led into fellowship in the body of Christ and thus into the greatest glory we can obtain.
Tribulations become short and light in the Spirit of faith, because then we look into things that are invisible. Where unbelief stops, faith is sufficiently bold and strong to make a way. “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” 2 Cor. 2:14. The victory of faith in Christ diffuses a pleasant and glorious fragrance in every place and at all times. It is a fragrance of life in the fellowship of life. “And who is sufficient for these things?” V. 16. All those who possess the Spirit of faith.
The spirit of discouragement and timidity diffuses an aroma of death and not an aroma of life and glory.
“But since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke’, we also believe and therefore speak . . . .” 2 Cor. 4:13.
Every word that does not have its source in the Spirit of faith is worth nothing. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith without works is a dead faith. It is therefore necessary to come together in the Spirit of faith and heartily encourage one another to love and good works.
Through the boldness of faith we can take the kingdom of heaven by force and gain an abundant entrance into the kingdom of God. Faith gives us an inner peace and joy and an eternal comfort. In the light of faith we see ourselves among the flock of disciples on Mount Zion awaiting our heavenly Bridegroom.
Where there is victory there is also war. Paul had fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith, and the crown of righteousness was waiting for him. 2 Tim. 4:7-8.
