The Greatest Mistake . . .
that was ever made after the work of Jesus Christ was finished, was the education of so-called priests on a human level, and all organized church life. The so-called churches of all these denominations, together with their so-called priests, are a substitute, or a caricature of a living church of God!
It is as unbiblical as it can possibly be! Nothing like that existed in the days of the first apostles!
Where, in any of the apostles’ letters, do we read anything about that? Not a single word! Of course not, because there was no such thing! Nothing but apostasy, unbelief, worldliness, human reasoning, and disobedience to the Scripture’s clear word has caused all this ecclesiastical misery.
We can justifiably ask: “Was Paul, for example, a Catholic; was Peter a Baptist, was John a Methodist and James a Pentecostal?” Where in the Bible can you read anything like that? It is completely unbiblical!
What do the Scriptures in the dispensation of the New Testament say? “You are . . . a royal priesthood . . . .” 1 Pet. 2:9. Therefore: every single person in the church of the living God is called and chosen to be a New-Testament-priest. He receives his education at the meetings through all the edification he receives there, as well as through obedience to the words of the New Testament.
Paul’s revelation that they are all each other’s members and members of the body of Christ where He is the head is indescribably glorious and marvelous!
The very reason everyone in the church of the living God has something to serve with, which is both forbidden and impossible in a so-called church, is that every true Christian, each member of the body, is willing to be saved, transformed, changed, and molded.
God’s Word speaks very clearly, but that doesn’t bother most people at all. They would rather follow tradition!
1 Corinthians 14:26 is extremely clear and plain: “How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has . . .”—namely, something to serve one another with for edification, which means for growth and development in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 3:17: “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”— namely, for everyone who has forsaken all his own in order to serve the others for edification. This states quite clearly that the Lord’s Spirit does not rule where this liberty does not exist. This is as “un-churchy” as it could possibly be.
There is no biblical defense for acting so directly against the Word of God to such an extreme extent. One brutally transgresses God’s clear Word by following human, religious precepts, and one can continue to sleep in this state all the days of one’s life without ever becoming alert to it.
