Practicing

Practicing is a very good word, especially in a biblical sense. This word does not appear in most Bible translations, but it does appear at various times in the French translation.

Practicing is the opposite of theorizing. Most people deceive themselves. They are, in a manner of speaking, stuck in all their theories and knowledge. When a person knows something, it can seem to him as if he has practiced it!

Almost all of mankind is suffering from this perfect deception! It would be worthwhile to have this constantly speaking in your inner man: Practice! Practice! Practice! That is, practice everything that is written in the Sermon on the Mount and everything else that is written in the New Testament—everything that Jesus has commanded us. Matt. 28:20.

Note the expression in Matthew 7:24 and 26: “These sayings of Mine.” Therefore these are all the words in the Sermon on the Mount, that is, the entire content of Chapters 5, 6, and 7. Your religion is in vain if you do not receive grace and strength to practice the glorious and divine words in the Sermon on the Mount. What you have built has become a heap of rubble. The result is a great tragedy. This is not true Christianity; it is not walking in the steps that Jesus’ left us, so that we might walk in them!
