The Accuser of Our Brethren

Revelation 12:10

Who is that? It is Satan himself! He accuses both day and night. He is the father of lies, the father of all accusation, and its director. All those who accuse their brethren, as well as others, are, without being aware of it, in his service. They are driven by the same spirit—the spirit of accusation, the spirit of criticism and judgment. They are suffering from a sickness that leads to death.

It is absolutely fatal to accuse and judge others instead of judging yourself. In the course of many years, we have now and then witnessed that someone, by judging others, has condemned himself and ended up outside of what he was apprehended by.

The reason for this is always that you have become conceited; you think you understand things better than the others, or you want to appear better than you really are. You are possessed by a false estimation of your own greatness, and then these words will be fulfilled: “Pride goes before destruction,” and, “Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty.” Prov. 16:18, 18:12.

Everything goes according to laws! There are no exceptions!

The fact that you do not consider such words seriously—irrespective of who you are—can prove to be your own undoing. Pay special attention to Romans 2:1.
