How did He learn obedience by the things which He suffered? Did He need to learn anything at all? He increased in wisdom and favor. Luke 2:52. Did He possess little wisdom to begin with? He could not possibly follow the wisdom in which He increased before He had increased in it, could He?

He did not count it robbery to be equal with the Father. This is precisely why He had to learn and to increase in the days of His flesh. Therefore we read, “And having been perfected . . . .” Heb. 5:9.
