“Death and Life Are in the Power of the Tongue.”

In other words, everything depends on the use of the tongue. Therefore all our interest ought to revolve around how we use our tongue! With it we can create life-giving faith, even life; and with it we can (spiritually speaking) become mass murderers!

With it we can profit others in all areas, and with it we can harm others, even many of them in each area!

With it you can guide a few, and you can guide many, even very many; and you can also harm them! Each word that proceeds from your mouth is a sowing that is either to benefit or harm. You must reap what you sow, whether you want to or not! This happens according to laws and is the same for everyone—for those who proclaim God’s Word and for those who don’t, as well as for those who say or preach that we neither can nor shall keep Jesus’ and the apostles’ words in the New Testament! Poor wretches!

Think of all the thousands who have thereby been hindered from partaking of an overcoming life, who have thereby been excluded from inheriting the kingdom of God, even though they believe in the atonement! What a sowing, and what a harvest!

The use of your tongue proves either your wisdom or your lack of wisdom! This also applies to your love or lack of love! Indeed, it shows, and proves with all clarity who you really are! Think about that! This will profit you far more than a lot of other things with which you occupy yourself!
