“Through Your Commands I Get Understanding”

How is that so? Because God’s words are the only words that are full of wisdom and understanding when it concerns our life and salvation, the only words that are true, and the only words according to which it pays to conduct yourself. Everything that does not faithfully agree with His commands is lies and deception and delusion. His commands encompass all true laws of life. They are like laws of nature! Everything goes according to these laws. For example, “Give, and it will be given to you.” Luke 6:38. “Everyone who exalts himself will be abased, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 18:14. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matt. 5:5. “For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Gal. 6:7. This applies to everyone equally, and there are no exceptions! Therefore it is the most prudent thing under the sun to learn to know His laws and to conduct yourself fully according to them. By doing this, you will achieve inexpressibly much, and the more the better! In this way, and in no other way, every wretch has unlimited and glorious opportunities! The other side of the same matter is to hate every false way (Ps. 119:104) and all lying words, and every objection to God’s Word, which are objections to the laws of the Spirit of life.
