Will You Be Along? Are You Along?

Will You Be Along? Are You Along?

There are many people who ask themselves and others: “Will I be along when Jesus comes to fetch His bride?” I don’t think I have ever heard anyone ask: “Am I among those who will be raptured?” To ask, “Will I be along?” is meaningless, but to ask: “Am I along?” makes sense. You cannot be along unless you are along.

What does it mean to be along? “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Eph. 6:12.

What does it mean that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood”? It means that we do not have anything against anyone. There is not a single person who stands in our way. There is nothing that we have not forgiven. There is not a single person we are backbiting. Are you among these people?

But we fight against “principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Are you along in this battle, or do you allow yourself to be influenced by the spirit that is now working in the children of unbelief? Eph. 2:2.

Being along in this battle means bearing reproach because you are not conformed to this world. Not only that, you have also taken up the battle against the spiritual hosts that are working in our days. Rom. 12:2. Noah condemned the world by what he did. Heb. 11:7. Lot lived as a sojourner in Sodom, and they felt that he always acted like a judge. Gen. 19:9. He was tormented daily in his righteous soul by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds. 2 Pet. 2:8. Are you among those who are suffering and fighting?

“Against the rulers of the darkness of this age . . . .” The Pharisees were also among them, and the people were afraid of being expelled from the synagogues. John 12:42-43. Because people want to have a name among their fellow men, they submit to the rulers of the darkness of this age, whether they are religious or worldly rulers. They want to be a part of what is great in people’s eyes. Then they are also a part of what is an abomination in God’s eyes. Luke 16:15.

We speak wisdom among those who are perfect, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age. Had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Cor. 2:4-8.

We see that it is impossible to unite the wisdom that is from above with the wisdom that the rulers of this world have. “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him . . . .” V. 14. Are you continuing to explain over and over again your Christianity to the natural man so you can avoid their reproach, or have you taken up the battle against them?

“Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.” Luke 12:35-36.

Are you along in this? If not, you will not be in the rapture. In order for the Son of Man to acknowledge, or confess, you, you have to acknowledge (confess) His Word, letting the light that He has lit continue to shine. Then the Son of Man will confess you before the angels of God. If you are along in this, then you will be along.

By denying Him you are not letting the Word which He spoke have authority; you are not letting the light shine, and He will also deny you before the angels of God. Then it is obvious that you are not one of those who will be raptured.
