Transformation
Transformation is the same as being recreated. This is totally different from changing a little bit, or even much, from the way it is.
Unfortunately, people have very little faith, or no faith at all, in any kind of transformation while they are in this evil world. Their hope is to experience it only on that Day. If they think about it with any degree of seriousness, they make the terrible blunder of confusing the transformation of the body, which takes place only on that Day, with the transformation of the inner man, which according to 2 Corinthians 3:18 takes place now during the time of our sojourn.
These are simple and clear words. As transformation takes place in our inner man, we are precisely that which we have been transformed into, and we are definitely not any longer what we were transformed from. These facts are just as certain as the transformation of the body will be on that Day.
If a person does not believe in transformation, he strives either to change or to improve, or he gives up on that as well.
The essence of the matter is transformation or a new creation. Paul states very firmly in Galatians 6:15 that only a new creation avails anything or counts for anything! Here he uses spiritual words to speak about spiritual things. Yet as natural human beings, think there is also something else that avails something.
By being transformed in our inner man, we gradually become the opposite of what we were before! The truth of it becomes both audible and visible. The consequences are things you can touch which did not exist before—God be praised!—and now they stand there! Neither men nor demons nor any circumstances can change that!
The Lord be highly praised for time and eternity! Just think that He loves us so immeasurably much!
