The Power of Habits Is Great
It is even very great! But glory to God, His power is far greater! It seems as if it is impossible to change an old habit. However, it is not quite that bad. Yet it is bad enough that it requires the utmost effort to get rid of it.
Besides bad habits, there are also good habits. Luke 4:16; Acts 17:2 and 25:16. The truth is that almost everything a person does is the result of habits, whether bad habits or good ones. Therefore it is of vital importance to test your habits to see whether they are noble and good and profitable and sound, or whether they are bad and unsound, resulting in loss to you and others because of them.
A radical effort is required to get rid of a bad habit; you have to lay down your life to acquire a new, fruitful habit. But it is worth the effort!
I look forward to seeing you again with one or several glorious, new habits!
