Anxiety

December 1967

The catchphrase and weapon of anxiety are these well-known words: “Think if . . ?” Think if this, or that, or this should happen!

It is vital to wrest this weapon from Satan by answering, “No! No! On the contrary. That is exactly what I shall not do! Depart from me!”

In an English Bible translation it says, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow,” instead of, “Do not worry about tomorrow . . . .”

The source of thinking about tomorrow is anxiety. It is the very essence of anxiety.
