Glorious Promises About Power
First it says, in verse 28, that God neither faints nor is weary. This is not difficult to believe. Next it says in verse 29, that He gives power to the weak. And then it says that He increases strength!
Further in verse 31 it says that those who wait on the Lord renew their strength (receive increased strength) to the extent that they shall mount up with wings like eagles and shall run and not be weary.
God does not grow weary, and neither do those who wait for the power of God! It becomes like this by faith! But Isaiah asks, “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm [strength] of the Lord been revealed?” Ch. 53:1. Of how much help are all of God’s promises if we do not believe them? However, in return, if we do believe them it will become as the Word says. Glory to God!
Then we will never grow weary of doing God’s will; we will never grow weary of loving and bearing and suffering and exhorting, etc.
Then we will mount up like eagles high over all this worlds’ annoyances and pettiness. Then we see everything of this earth as piteously insignificant. The atmosphere up there is pure and good, and all sinful talk and noise is so far away that we are not in the least bothered by it! We neither see nor hear chatterboxes and other nuisances. This means that we hear them, yet we do not hear them. As eagles we praise God up there in the eagle’s height! God be praised who has brought us such marvelous salvation and has given us these marvelous, heavenly powers!
