It Is a Sad Truth . . .

that so many people are not converted. However, an even more lamentable truth is that most converted people are lukewarm in their zeal despite the exhortation in Romans 12:11 to “be fervent in spirit . . . .” Also in spite of the extremely serious words in Rev. 3:16: “Because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.”

He loathes lukewarm, spineless, slack brothers and sisters who are not fervently enthusiastic for salvation, even though they lead a relatively good life. They can be people who regularly do what is just and good, who “would not hurt a fly” either on land or on sea.

Nevertheless, God still thinks it is terrible (He was going to vomit them out!!!) to see their lukewarmness, spinelessness, and slackness. They lack urgency! No fervency! Everything is just so-so: “It isn’t that urgent, is it? It is not a matter of life and death, is it?”

Yes, that is exactly what it is!! As Paul writes, “In season and out of season.” 2 Tim. 4:2. Full speed ahead! Always! In all things! In every way! In prayer and testimony! In attending meetings and conferences as far as possible! Not the least possible! Not even moderately! No! No! No!

The motto is: Most possible! Most often possible! As soon as possible! Fire! Ablaze! Then there will be speed in the matter. And the end of this will be ascending to heaven!!!
