There Is No Excuse . . .
for any kind of sin in any kind of situation under any circumstance whatsoever. It is never the others’ fault that you are sinning; and neither do you sin because you have a headache, or because of pain in any other part of your body. The reason is always that you do not have victory over sin.
Paul wrote, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ . . . .” 2 Cor. 2:14. It does not say, “With the exception of when we have headaches, or when we have not had sufficient sleep, or when our fellow men are so-called impossible.”
It always means without any exception whatsoever.
Gaining the victory is a matter between me and God and has nothing to do with what others might say or do or neglect to do.
Life proceeds from the heart. Victory proceeds from the heart, and not from the head or from our environment.
If you have the victory, then you are always victorious.
When you excuse your defeat, you are pushing the opportunity for victory away from you. You can never expect to gain victory in this way.
Therefore: Be finished with all excuses!
