He Has Decided It!

People have made many decisions on paper, as well as other casual or tentative “decisions.”

However, whenever God has decided to do something, it is the same as if it were already done. Because it gets done! No one and nothing can hinder Him from doing it! Glory to God!

Therefore it is written in Romans 4:17: “Who . . . calls those things that do not exist as though they did.” He can rightfully do this because He is omnipotent. In essence, we can also do this when we think and speak in faith and confidence in what He has promised to do.

Now the glorious, hopeful, and joyful fact is this: God has decided in dead earnest to conform us to the image of His Son, to share His glory, His nature, His qualities, His virtues with us—even everything that He possesses! Who are these “they” and “us”? They are all those few who love Him, those who love to be saved from all sin at all cost.

He reckons as if it were already accomplished. Therefore we also ought to reckon like that!

This is what it means to believe God in truth.

In Romans 8:30 it says, “These He also glorified.” Because this has been firmly decided! There is no way to avoid it! Even this: “How shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Rom. 8:32. Therefore Paul can also write something as amazing as 1 Corinthians 3:21: “For all things are yours.”

Even now! It has been firmly decided according to the free counsel of His will! There is just this little trifle that remains, which we could call “reassigning.” But what a trifle it is and remains, relative to God’s firm decision!!!

What a word: “How shall He not . . . .”

Then we must say, “How can we not rejoice and be glad!!!” Tell me why we should not!
