Fulfilling the Conditions . . .
is an absolute necessity in order to receive what is promised. Because of their superficiality, most people never understand this. This, in turn, is the reason they virtually never get a clear idea of the conditions from the usual preaching, which is why, on average, the state of affairs among believers is so appalling. There is a glaring disparity between the preaching of how gloriously the Spirit works among the believers, and the actual state of people’s daily lives.
The fact is that most believers have definitely not fulfilled the conditions for obtaining the powerful help and the glorious blessing that the Word promises.
This matter of fulfilling the conditions is so utterly serious and crucial that if you do not preach that the conditions must be fulfilled to the uttermost, you might as well spare yourself the effort of proclaiming God’s power and its glorious results.
Without fulfilling the conditions, it is impossible to walk in Christ’s steps in truth; that is, to be transformed and become like Christ, possessing His mind, His nature, and His life. In other words, this is—as is everything else—a vital question of either / or.
The preaching is absolutely crucial. It can be compared to a mother. As is the mother, so is the child!
