Flawless Victory

Flawless Victory

A well-known minister of the Word wrote that there is no such thing as flawless victory. However, if a person does not have victory, it is because his heart and attitude of mind are flawed, and the Scriptures state plainly and emphatically that this is not the way it is supposed to be. The same mind that was in Jesus must also be in us. Phil. 2:5; 1 Cor. 2:16; 1 Pet. 2:21. We are to serve Him with a whole and pure heart, and He gives abundant power and grace for that.

If there is a flaw in a cup or a vessel, you can hear it by the sound it makes when you tap it, and it is against the law to use such vessels for serving the public. It says in 2 Timothy 2:21 that we shall be vessels for honor, prepared for every good work, sanctified and useful for the Master. These are vessels of gold and silver with a clear tone—without a flaw or a break. They are an honor to Christ when He presents His food in them.

There is no condemnation for unconscious sin (deeds of the body) because they are not the result of temptations that have passed through my mind and heart.

We must always hold firmly to a living faith in complete and full victory over all sin within the area over which God has given us light and understanding. This is where we have our blessed lot of inheritance in the light, together with the saints. This area must increase to the greatest possible extent.
