Denying God’s Work

Denying God’s Work

Just as many people deny that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Atoner (they refuse to believe it), so most people who believe in Him deny God’s transforming work in our inner man in the days of our flesh. In the same way that many unconverted people deny the first, so many people, even the majority of converted people, deny just as stubbornly the second! Who is worse? From whom should we expect the most?

Most converted people fervently deny the very life of God in Christians during their sojourn on earth, despite the fact that the Scriptures speak almost exclusively about this glorious life of victory.

At the same time, they add this great sin to it all by acting as if they believed in victory and progress anyway!

This is quite simply hypocrisy! It is impossible to deny it and believe it simultaneously!

Unfortunately it is, so to speak, firmly ingrained in people to believe in the atonement, all the while denying God’s transforming work in the heart.
