Blind Obedience

2 Corinthians 10:5-6: Perfect obedience. 1 Timothy 2:11: All obedience.

Most people, honestly, do not know what obedience is. What they generally understand (misunderstand) by obedience is that they finally do as the Word says, after they have made many excuses by using their human reasoning, and after they were sufficiently burned by their disobedience; in other words, when they, after all is said and done, agree with God, or when they themselves understand that His command is good.

But this is not true obedience. It is not what God and His Word mean by obedience.

Obedience is to do what the Word says because the Word says it; or in other words, because God Himself understands and knows that it is good. We do not need to reason back and forth first. God Himself has done that, so that part of the matter is in order! Glory to God!

We have all good reason to trust Him blindly. Also read Romans 6:17.
