Faith in Defeat Is a Lethal Poison

When it concerns their personal lives, what is it actually that most “believers” believe? They believe firmly in defeat. Then the word, “According to your faith it will be done to you” will be fulfilled.

When a person has ingested some lethal poison or other, it is important that his stomach is pumped out as quickly as possible. His system has to be completely pumped out so his life can be saved.

This is particularly important when it concerns the life in God. The vast majority of confessing Christians is, as the Scriptures state, beguiled and bewitched by the harlot. They have truly been poisoned. They have drunk of the wine of the wrath of fornication (Rev. 18:3, 23) so that they are totally befuddled and dizzy, and therefore they believe the lie.

Lie #1 is that you are saved while sin remains in your life so that, as is made abundantly clear in a well-known verse of a song, even twice in the same verse: “Just as I am to heaven I go.” The meaning is clear: We neither can nor will be saved from sin that so easily ensnares us. They say that I neither can nor shall put off sin as the Scriptures teach and exhort us to do. They think it is useless, impossible, hopeless, and discomforting. Besides, it is totally unnecessary, for I am going to heaven just as I am on account of the blood!

People do not realize what a bad state they are in when they are in a fog. The very essence of it is pure blasphemy!

There is one way of being rescued from all this if it is not already too late: Be thoroughly pumped clean of this corrupting harlot’s wine that people have ingested. Up and out with all of it if there is to be any salvation. It is nothing to dwell on, it is nothing to be shared!

Never mind if it is ever so uncomfortable and embarrassing, and irrespective of what people say and think. You must save your life. The order in Revelation 18 is, “Come out of her, my people . . . .” This clearly shows that those who have been deceived by the harlot are in fact God’s children.

After a person has been emptied of the poison, it is of vital importance that he receives the words of faith and of the good doctrine (spiritual, pure milk), so that he can grow by it to further salvation, to sanctification. How glorious it is when you become just as assured of victory as you were of defeat, previously. Then you have been healed.
