“Be Silent . . .

“Be Silent . . .

before the Lord . . . .” Zech. 2:13. “Let all the earth keep silence before Him.” Hab. 2:20.

This is the silence of the grave, the silence of death, the silence of a weaned child! Ps. 131. Sin is not lacking where there are many words! Everything that the flesh thinks and believes and feels, and what it desires and does not desire, is of no interest! It is even worse than that, because all of it is delusional and total madness and foolishness! Why does it growl and speak since it neither knows nor can do anything at all that is good!? Every word and every motion that proceeds from the flesh makes matters only worse and increases the misery!

All salvation and all blessings are the result of getting the flesh to be silent!

However, the ungodly cannot be quiet. He is like the troubled sea that casts up mire and dirt. Isa. 57:20. It is nothing less.

“Be still [with all that nonsense!!!] and know that I am God . . . .” Ps. 46:10.

The entire world is like a restless witches’ brew, and every single sinner’s heart is like the roaring sea. However, we who have believed enter into rest. After a while, it becomes dead calm in our inner man. Glory to God! We no longer have anything to say about this or that, about this person or that person as we did previously, except what the Lord gives us to say in His blessed and precious ministry.

Then the word “Let all the earth keep silence before Him” has been fulfilled.
