All According to Plan
“The house was finished in all its details and according to all its plans. So he was seven years in building it.”
“Whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.” Heb. 3:6.
“And to present you faultless [flawless] before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy . . . .” Jude, verse 24.
“To be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless [flawless]. . . .” 2 Pet. 3:14.
“To present you holy, and blameless, and irreproachable in His sight . . . .” Col. 1:22.
“But let each one take heed how he builds on it.” 1 Cor. 3:10.
“For they are without fault . . .” (Rev. 14:5)—all according to plan!!!
The entire world lies in the darkness of unbelief. Almost all of God’s people also lie in the darkness of unbelief when it concerns an overcoming life, when it concerns being without spot, when it concerns becoming as we should be in every detail, now, in the days of our flesh.
Yet this is the very thing that matters; this is the essence of our heavenly calling, the calling to be in the bride! This is the good work that God has begun in us, and we can be fully assured (believe) that He will finish it!!! Phil. 1:6.
The house was finished in all its details. This is the earthly representation of God’s plan of salvation for us, for we are His house. We shall be completed in every detail now, all according to plan. What are these details? In what are we to be blameless and irreproachable? What is it that is to be found without spot or wrinkle? Our life, our deeds, our personal righteousness (acquired by faith), truthfulness, love, mercy, wisdom and understanding, patience and longsuffering, peaceableness and meekness, faithfulness, zeal, sacrifice, humility, submission, guidance, benevolence, willingness to be reconciled, contentment, forbearance, chastity, uprightness, boldness, impartiality, the use of our tongue—in deed, in purity, in every detail.
The house was finished after seven years. “Seven years” indicates God’s perfectly allotted time that varies in length for various individuals. God gives us a suitable length of time, the time that we need. And when these “seven years” have come to an end, the house is finished according to all its plans as it was meant to be. Then God has finished His work in us; then we are filled with the virtues of Christ (2 Pet. 1:5-11), and we lack nothing (Jas. 1:4) in accordance with the great Architects drawings, according to all its plans! So speaks faith!
This is how it goes where the word of faith is preached and received. Therefore may each individual wake up as he ought and take care how he hears! Most of what is being preached to God’s people in these days is the exact opposite of the word of faith.
Living faith in such a building is extremely difficult to find on earth. Jesus Himself said, “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8.
We shall be as we are meant to be according to plan, according to God’s laws and commandments during the days of our flesh! What a calling that is! What a result! What a life! Oh, the goodness of God! What a salvation; what a work; what a cleansing; what a fire before we reach the goal!!!
What price could possibly be too great to obtain such an indescribably glorious and everlasting result!!!???
Whatever it takes, dear friends! The house will be finished when the “seven years” have ended as long as we endure in our boldness and in the hope that we boast of, until the end.
We must believe it; and this is our comfort. Amen.
