The Fields Are Already White for Harvest

John 4:35

Sowing and harvesting in the spiritual realm occurs according to the spiritual laws of poverty, hunger, and grief. Luke 6:20-26. There is nothing to be harvested where there is no poverty of spirit, and where you harvest, the yield will be from thirty- to a hundred-fold, all according to the depth of poverty. This depth is the depth of the good ground. It also corresponds to the depth of acknowledgment.

This depth varies greatly with the various ones. What one person calls gross disobedience, another person calls insignificant disobedience, whereas a third person cannot comprehend that the incident in question has anything at all to do with disobedience. Poverty of spirit as well as the harvest in eternity will be the exact equivalent of the depth of acknowledgment.

We can say that the fields are white for harvest in two ways.

1) We harvest people—hungry, grieving, poor souls—from the world to God.

2) We harvest more and more, point by point in the hearts of the saints by satiating them with that righteousness for which their hearts hunger to a greater or lesser degree.

In both cases the fields are now white for harvest! There are hungry souls who are just waiting to be sated with what is good and right—converted and unconverted people, one here and one there, some in one place and others in another place. However, patience is needed, for you do not find hungry souls at every street corner, nor a hungry heart in everyone who shouts, “Lord, Lord!”
