Judgment. “And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light.” This is just as true now as it was then!! This is not an exception to the rule that everything has two sides. Generally speaking, people have nothing against the light as such, but they do hate the require­ment of the light. The requirement of the light is always a judgment over the old man. The more I acknowledge its judgment, the further I will advance on the way. I cannot advance in any other way than by paying heed to myself and humbly bowing under God’s judgments, because the time has now come when judgment shall begin at the house of God, whose house we are. Therefore it is important to have a proper relationship to God and His word, so we can be in a state in which the judgments result in salvation. We have entered into this proper state in spirit and in truth when we can say, “In me, that is, in my flesh dwells nothing good.” Only then are we in a state where we can consider everything that is of ourselves as cursed. Then it is not so difficult to remain in God’s judgments.
