Skjulte Skatter (1928)

We have published Skjulte Skatter for 16 years, and we know and believe that it has been a blessing. Most of the friends pay promptly for the paper, but out of the approximately 480 subscriptions, over 100 remain unpaid for this year. We know that the paper has a part to play and is needed in our time, but it can only keep going if everyone fulfills their responsibility by paying the subscription fee.

This is simply a matter of basic righteousness. Skjulte Skatter has endeavored to provide insight into the deeper things of God, and that is still our goal today. In addition to the especially good articles that our dear brother Elias Aslaksen sends us, we have over the years translated the best articles we have been able to find from German and English. I know that every upright, searching soul who reads the paper with an honest and open mind will be able to come to a greater light and a richer life. But the paper ought to be read thoughtfully, and preferably several times. You can’t read it the same way you read a newspaper. Remember that! Be a co-worker by sharing the paper with others. Personally, I believe that the truths we preach will and indeed must be made known. They have stood the test, having endured fierce opposition from many quarters throughout many years. This opposition has served only to make us more grounded in the Word of God, which we have been entrusted to preach by the grace of God. We intend to put out ten issues in 1928, starting with the New Year’s issue.
