Simplicity
Simplicity in God conquers all things. It conquers God’s tender Father’s heart by its childlike faith. It conquers people by its simple, candid nature, which is never artificial. An open simplicity concerning Jesus among people of this world silences them. Simplicity does not reflect on other people’s judgment; their thoughts are too far removed from it. Simplicity speaks on the basis of its childlike confidence and faith, with a purity, gentleness, and certainty that causes even the mockers to be silent.
Divine simplicity knows no fear. An unshakable peace and a genuine rest characterize its mind. Words about Jesus are spoken openly and naturally to anyone and anywhere. Simplicity does not accept a rebuff; it is not talked into anything; it is grounded in God. Its faith is unshakable. A prayer in simplicity to God is equal to an answer from God, because simplicity is a stranger to doubt. Its fellowship with God is always the same, because simplicity knows of no changes in its faith.
Simplicity is like a snow-white flower that is always open. It sends its fragrance over the evil and over the good; it is a stranger to partiality because everyone is equally dear—they have all been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. The goal of simplicity is hidden in itself—to lead the others into the same divine state. Simplicity has no thoughts for itself—this is the condition for its very existence.
