506. New Year’s Conference 1939/40

It was a great joy to see so many friends gathered in this difficult time. I estimate that about four hundred and fifty friends were gathered in the great hall of the Lodge in Oslo.

The friends testified well, but we need to be much more on the warpath, spiritually speaking. In these days Satan is working powerfully amongst the large nations. He uses the same tactic within the church. Satan portrays himself both as an angel of light and as a roaring lion. He has been a liar from the beginning, and the truth is not in him. This is why we must dig down into spiritual trenches, so we become invisible. We must stand fully armed behind our fortifications, with a mind to resist sin unto bloodshed.

There must be an end to all fiddling around, because it is war, spiritually and physically speaking.
