504. Prayer Day Conference 1939
God be thanked for this blessed conference in Drammen. We had meetings in the Masonic Lodge. This hall was very suitable for three hundred and fifty to four hundred people—which is how many were at the conference.
The conference was all-encompassing and included many good testimonies. The elder brothers testified about “the law of reaping what you sow,” and the common misunderstanding that you can avoid all reaping when your sins are forgiven. Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap until there is nothing left of the harvest. After you are converted, you sow good seeds, and you will eventually reap a harvest from these seeds.
Then it was spoken about the prophet Eli and his sons, and how old Eli’s house was destroyed because he did not keep his sons in check. We are responsible for our home and our children. God had a Samuel ready for His service, while Eli’s house went to ruin. In the same way He also anointed David as king, while Saul went to ruin because he fell away.
The difficulties in the end times were also mentioned, and that we ought to walk in holy fear in order to avoid all the evil that is to come.
We are all thankful to God for this blessed conference in this difficult time.
