487. Easter Conference 1937

The end of all things is at hand. So, too, one conference after another comes to an end.

A large carload of new converts came from Bagn to this conference. There were also many friends from the neighboring towns. Our meeting hall is only fifteen years old and was built for conferences. However, it is obvious that it is now far too small for the large annual gatherings.

This winter there has been a great revival in Bagn and Reinli. I estimate that around 150 people, mostly young people, have been saved. The brothers Sigurd Bratlie, Elihu Pedersen, and Waldemar Hammer have done a great work in that region.

We had an excellent conference. The preaching of obedience to the faith works wonders. We experience the same as Israel of old did when they obeyed the Lord their God: “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” This consciousness of victory was over the whole conference. Deut. 28:7.
