469. Prayer Day Conference 1934
This is being written just as the car bound for Kristiansand is leaving. Brother Aslaksen went with them to work there for a while.
We still had enough room in the hall; however, now it is very crowded. God blesses us in every way. The friends are growing, and the servants of the church are receiving more authority. There are innumerable things to learn and to take heed to during these conferences, things which otherwise would not come to light.
We are to grow up to Him who is the Head and be perfectly equipped for the work of ministry. This work of ministry is the most difficult task. There are babes in Christ and others among us who have come further on the way. There are God’s co-workers, and there is God’s cultivated field; there are lambs and sheep and sheep that are nursing. Everything must be done in an appropriate way. Everyone needs to receive nourishment—something for themselves. Nothing is to be damaged or destroyed. No one should speak for too long or too often; prayers should not be too lengthy; everything should be done unto edification.
If Christ, our Head, was not to serve as the leader of all this, it would be impossible for us to get things to work. Therefore it is absolutely vital to listen to what the Chief Shepherd has to say to us, so that everything can develop as it ought to. I would dare to say that God has helped us at these conferences, year in and year out, so that everyone has been able to travel home with much profit. This was also the case this time. Honor and praise unto God!
