259. Religious “Dual People”

Do people like this really exist? Yes, unfortunately this is the case. When they are among worldly people, the spirit that is there and prevails is able to direct them. They wear fine clothes and enjoy splendid feasts consisting of lots of delicious courses. However, should God’s people come to visit them, or when they are among them, they dress themselves like poor people and eat simply. Hypocrisy! Moreover having learned a great many things from God-fearing people, they repeat these things among the semi-religious. There they sit and are admired for all their wisdom. Of course, the cross is not there! Hypocrisy!

Let everyone test and search themselves whether they are such “dual people.” May God deliver us from this evil. Rom. 8:37.
